Hi. My name is Charlotta Hedman and I’m a freelance journalist in London. I work for media in Finland and Sweden and regularly produce news stories for the Finnish public service broadcaster YLE and Swedish broadsheet Sydsvenskan. My main focus is news, politics and social issues. I also write about  culture and technology.

I’ve worked in London for the past two years and have covered everything from royal weddings, to demonstrations to the last general elections in the UK and Ireland for Finnish TV and radio. I also worked in South Africa in 2010 to cover the build up for the World Cup. Before that I worked as a TV and online reporter at YLE in Helsinki.

I also edit a blog about music and tech and write for women’s lifestyle blog Bitchbuzz. I’ve previously covered the Nordic tech scene for TechCrunch Europe.
